Comments about Visconti Visconti Van Gogh Maxi Fountain Pen Tortoise:
I've always wanted a Visconti and was torn between the Opera and Van Gogh. The Van Gogh was on sale, so I went for it. I thought I would buy it, put in in my display case and take it out once in a while for special occasions. I have over a dozen nice fountain pens, but typically use my Montblanc Meisterstuck 146, Pelikan m200 or Wateman Phileas for everyday writing. Surprisingly, the Visconti has become my main pen. It's much large than either my 146, m200 or Phileas, but it feels so good and is so well balanced, posted or unposted, that I don't want to put it down. A beautiful, smooth and wet writer, the medium nib is perfect.
