The Montegrappa Genio Creativo series honors Salvador Dali with this limited edition pen. Dali is the third person recognized by the Genio Creativo series. The first two individuals were Antonio Stradivari and Amedeo Modigliani. Dali was a visionary who personified surrealism. His 1944 work, Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee Around a Pomegranate a Second Before Awakening, inspired Montegrappa’s designers to devise a pen worthy of Dali's vision. That work featured an elephant and the elephant was a recurring image in Dali's later works. Dali drew his elephants with very long legs and Montegrappa recreated the Dali long legged elephant on this pen.
