The P-51 WWII Fighter pen was inspired by the courageous airmen who flew them as long range fighter escorts protecting U.S. bombers over Europe during WWII. The single seat P-51 had a top speed of 437 mph with a combat range of 1,000 miles, and was one of the very best piston-engine fighters ever made. This writing instrument is dedicated to the memory of those who flew them and for those who didn’t make it back. Each Michael's Fat Boy P-51 is machined in the U.S. from aircraft quality billet aluminum bars, and assembled using the highest quality retractable mechanisms from Germany.
