Description:
The Metropolitan Museum of Art has released a collection of colorful and artistically styled ballpoint pens. The Met collection range incorporates intricately and elegantly detailed interpretations of some of the Museum’s most famous works of art in the shape and functionality of a writing instrument. Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) was one of America's most acclaimed and multi-talented artists working in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In the Metropolitan Museum's collection of American decorative art is a Favrile glass and gilt bronze picture frame in the pine bough pattern from about 1905-20. The Tiffany Pine Bough Pens are adapted from this original frame.
