Over the years that Patrick Chu, Founder of Loiminchay, collected writing instruments, he stored up all the treasures. From time to time, he would examine them, admire them and play with them like a child playing with toys. Until the year 1999, when he decided to make his own pen company called "Loiminchay".

Once the decision was made, he searched back to his roots, 5000 years of Chinese arts and culture. Dragon and jade come in the picture, and of course the Chinese porcelain vases as well.
